It's so hard to believe that it will soon be Dave's five year anniversary of sobriety. Soon it will be five years since the day he asked me to marry him. No they aren't the same. He asked me marry him on Valentine's Day; he quit drinking cold and never looked back on March 2nd, 1999. We HAD planned a two-year engagement, it turned out to be more than four years. Oh well, by the time we married on Canada Day last year (2003), we knew each other as well as two people can possibly know each other without peeking inside each other's brain.
My regular computer fried itself on the new router software, so I'm typing on the laptop. Excuse my typos please. I should just cave in and use a standard keyboard, but I'm mulish that way. I'm determined to get used to typing on this thing so I can use it easily when we hit the bush in the spring.
I've been thinking that maybe I would share some experiences. Who knows, not likely that anyone will see this, but maybe, just maybe there will somebody out there who is going through what I did, and maybe it will help them.

About this Blog Whatever the flavour of the month is. Heh.
About Me: I'm a 29 year old stay-at-home mother to three children. I married my soulmate on Canada Day 2003, after nearly ten years of procrastinating, and I'm still stuck in that newlywed glow. Our home is made in cool Northwestern Ontario, on the tip of Lake Superior, in a small town with three big dogs.
I have a few grand passions. Dave and our offspring are definitely number One in my heart, with dogs coming in a close second. I love to read, and I love to write, and I spend much of my time doing both.
The Great Outdoors calls me constantly, and if I had my way, I would drop all the comforts of civilization in a heartbeat to live out in the bush, miles from anything. I can't do that, so I have to settle for spending our summers in the bush, in an ancient motorhome.
